Media Composer 2019.12 (Mac and Windows).

Systems that do not meet the minimum requirements may still be able to run the software, with limited functionality.

Use the links below to verify your computer and operating system is compatible for the software you plan to use.

This folder is where all of the media content for your coursework will reside.

Mac OS - Macintosh HD/Avid MediaFiles/MXF.

Inside this folder create another folder called, 'MXF'.

Create a folder called, 'Avid MediaFiles' on the top level of your hard drive.

Setting up your computer for Avid Media Composer.

You can use Media Composer as a full functioning version for 30 days.

To activate Media Composer as a 30 trial use the third radio button on the Media Composer Activation tab inside Avid Link.

Until your Avid software is activated, you will not see any active software.

Avid Link will display what software is on your machine and if it is activated.

After downloading and installing Avid Link, launch Avid Link, sign into your Avid account on Avid Link to check that your account is active.

Avid Link will be installed when you install Avid Software if not, use the link below to download and install Avid Link.
